OPES' VISION

 

To reach Dayton and beyond by providing the life-saving skills of CPR to all who are willing to learn
To help reduce morbidity and mortality from sudden cardiac death
To educate the community at large on quick action for sufferers of Stroke and/or Heart Attack

 
OPES is an American Heart Association Community Training Center
 and has been in operation in the Dayton and surrounding communities for more than 13 years, providing a full range of American Heart Association Trainings:

 

  • HEALTHCARE PROVIDER CPR (also known as Professional CPR or BLS)
  • HEARTSAVER CPR
  • HEARTSAVER AED
  • HEARTSAVER PEDIATRIC FIRST AID
  • HEARTSAVER FIRST AID
  • FRIENDS AND FAMILY CPR AND FIRST AID
  • CPR IN SCHOOLS
  • COMPLETE BABY SITTING CLASS WITH    CERTIFICATION

              (For participants 11 years of age and older, includes CPR  First Aid)

  •   BLOODBORNE PATHOGENS

               (1 Hour in length)

 

  • 6 hr and 3 hr COMMUNICABLE DISEASES COURSE 

    

      • Classes reasonably priced
      • Participants receive completion cards which are valid for  2 years, (except Friends/Family CPR/First Aid)
      • For groups of 10 or more, classes can be provided at your site at a slightly higher price per person.
      • Instructors have 25 years + combined knowledge and experience in the Training Industry.
      • Training equipment is Latex-free and is cleaned and decontaminated after each class for your safety.


 

  • Come and learn the skills of CPR in a stress-free fun environment where you are encouraged to practice, practice, practice while having fun, fun, fun!
  • Registration is fast and easy
  • Classes offered days, evenings or weekends to accomodate your busy life
  • Cash or check are the acceptable methods of payment

Merge onto I-75 North toward DAYTON

Take EXIT 47 toward MORAINE/KETTERING

Merge onto S DIXIE HWY

SLIGHT LEFT onto KETTERING BLVD

AFTER passing WENDY'S, turn LEFT, THIS WILL BE A LEGAL LEFT TURN

Get into the far RIGHT LAND,

After passing Arby's, turn RIGHT INTO THE DRIVEWAY AFTER ARBY'S

Merge onto US-35 W toward DAYTON

Merge onto I-75 S via the exit on the LEFT

PARTICIPANTS WILL STILL RECEIVE QUALITY CLASSES PROVIDED IN A PROFESSIONAL, TIMELY MANNER.
CLASS LOCATION WILL BE ADDED TO CALENDARS.
 
 
 
SKILLS TESTING FOR HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS (By Appointment only)

  • Upon successful completion of on-line cognitive portion of CPR, you will be issued a certificate of completion; bring this with you when you come for your skills testing.
  • Participants must successfully complete skills of Adult, Child and Infant CPR/AED with no prompting or cuing.
  • Participants must demonstrate Adult/child and infant choking
  • If participants are unsuccessful in completion of the skills of CPR you will be referred to a CPR Class.
  • Please let instructor know when you register if you have special needs or are unable to work on the floor.
  • Payment due at time of appointment.

 

OPES will continue to offer babysitting classes throughout the year
 
  • Class will begin at 9am and end at 4pm for CPR/ Pediatric First Aid
  • 10 am to noon for growth and development, safety issues and   babysitting forms
    • Must register prior to class

  • Cost is $40.00 per person
  • Snacks, lunch, and bag with baby sitter's tools will be provided
    • tool kit will include First Aid Kit and CPR Key Chain Mask and other equipment to enhance your baby sitting exp

  • Class will include First Aid, CPR, and Growth and Development information for participants
  • Participants will receive CPR and First Aid Cards upon completion as well as Certificate of Completion of the Baby Sitting Class
